Let’s partner together

we are looking for a handful of businesses in this town. not a hundred anonymous checks. and not just this year.

here's the math that matters. every nine thousand dollars we raise is one person who gets to go. a first chance for somebody who couldn't afford one, or a second chance for somebody who took on the debt and never got to finish.

nine thousand. one person. that's the whole unit.

IT STAYS HERE

Washington, Clackamas, Multnomah, Yamhill. that's it.

every dollar you put in goes to somebody in those four counties. we are not a national anything and your money does not go to an office in another state. it goes to somebody who lives closer to your shop than you'd guess.

THIS YEAR IT'S EDUCATION

not forever. education is where we started because it's the clearest thing to explain and the easiest place to find people who need it.

we built four funds. veterans. education. wellness. and one for saying yes fast when a local nonprofit needs eight hundred bucks by Friday. three of them are sitting there waiting.

so when you partner with us you are not signing up for a scholarship program. you are signing up for the foundation. and every December we tell you exactly where it went.

THE NUMBERS

fifty thousand this year. all of it local.

forty five goes out as five Unc Grants of nine thousand each. five runs the place. ninety cents of every dollar goes to the people we serve and we publish the books every December.

we're a 501(c)(3) as of August 26 and it's retroactive to the day we incorporated. so your money is deductible. ask your accountant. Nathan is ours and he'd tell you the same thing.

THREE WAYS IN

Neighbor. one thousand.

Partner. five thousand.

Founding Partner. ten thousand.

the only difference between those three is the number. everybody's name sits in the same place, same size. we are not going to sell you a bigger logo.

and nobody gives more than ten thousand. not this year. we are not looking for one person to fund the whole thing and own it.

if a thousand isn't where you're at, give what you want. two fifty from a shop having a rough year counts the same to me as ten grand from somebody who won't miss it. it goes to the same place either way.

and if you'd rather do it once and see how it goes, do it once. no hard feelings and no follow up you didn't ask for. but what we're building is a group of people who do this every year and get to watch it add up.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SAY YES

you fill out the form below or you text me. either one.

then i call you. an actual phone call, usually within a day or two. i want to know what your business does and why this matters to you, because that's the part that makes it a partnership instead of a transaction.

then there's a one page agreement. it says what you're giving, what we're doing with it, and the rule that you don't get to pick who gets it. you sign it, i sign it, that's the paperwork. all of it.

then you pay however is easiest for your books. check, card, or send it through your accounts payable like any other invoice.

WHAT YOU DON'T GET

a say in who gets a grant. nobody gets that. not you, not me, not Nathan. it's written into our bylaws and it's the whole reason this is worth your money.
